The following two things have probably, MOST DEFINITELY, happened to every single entrepreneur on their hustle.
One...some individual or company attempted to engage with you to provide a service, while proceeding to haggle, bargain, or outright whine about how much you charge. Pushing you to an uncomfortable edge with your pricing.
Two...you approach an individual or company attempting to engage with them to provide their service, while proceeding to haggle, bargain, or outright whine about their cost. Ultimately pushing them to an uncomfortable edge with their pricing.
When it's done to you, you're offended and can't understand why people don't see your value and worth. You think, "How dare they? Don't they know what I'm worth?" When you attempt to do it to others, you think, "Negotiating is just a part of doing business."
Just remember, you get what you pay for. There's a difference between seeking the best value and just trying to find the lowest price in town . Going with the latter may not get you where you want to be.
Even if you do manage push someone to the edge on their pricing, the quality of the end result may suffer. More importantly, how they handle you as their client may not be so favorable.
Insider tip- I always put in a little more love and effort into the clients that are respectful of my worth, time and value. Just sayin...
