We work until we drop, and we grind ourselves into the ground trying to chase the mighty dollar. Much of the time we're struggling to get somewhere only to see a tiny bit of progress. We have so much to do, with so little time. And when we actually start making progress and getting money from the fruits of our labor, we want to hold on to it tight. Keep it all to ourselves. We worked hard for that money! It didn't come easy! So of course that's what we do.
But can I invite you to consider a different path? Not only because the current fruits of your labor are produced from a pace you can't keep up with, but because this path is the least rewarding. Monetarily and otherwise. The path I'm suggesting is one that involves you finding someone to help you grow!
It took me a while to figure this one out. At first I didn't think I could afford it. And when I finally decided to get some help, I guarded the work, not allowing anyone to help me in any impactful way. I told myself nobody could do what I do as good as I could. But I finally got a clue.
Demanding clients are less demanding when when you're able to delegate.
Solutions to those unsolvable puzzles aren't so puzzling when you have a team member that loves puzzles.
Stepping away for a well-needed break isn't so terrifying when you have someone who can cover you.
A great team is EVERYTHING. When you have the right people around you and treat them well, the mighty dollar you're chasing has the potential to grow to levels you could have never achieved when trying to go at it alone. But the best part about having a team is that it not only makes you a better business owner, it makes your business better, too.
