I am 100% a do-it-yourself type of person.  It's what I like to think is a very special quality.  Some would choose to forgo certain needs and desires because they just don't want to do the thing it would take for them to get whatever it is they need or want.  But not me...I'm always up for the challenge.

Full disclosure...me learning how to do things in my business wasn't born from not being able to find help, but from me not being able to afford help.  Being broke will force you into some situations that should grow you!  Give you some real opportunities that may not feel like opportunities at the time.  But they always pay off.  The same goes for when you want or need something done and can't find anyone to do it.

People will say they can help but then won't come through.  People may even have multiple meetings with you and ghost you.  Perhaps their prices are too high.   Or they talk over your head and just make you uncomfortable.  But instead of trying to force the issue and chase people for help who are already showing you this may not end well, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is this something I can do?
  • Is there a new skill I can learn from this situation?
  • Is there a way for me to move forward without getting stuck here?

Here's the Real. Step out of your box.  Learn something new.  Gain a new skill.  And most importantly...build confidence in yourself.  Don't wait on other people to move you forward.  Move yourself!
