Need a website? Here is a comprehensive checklist of what you'll need.
August 5, 2019 | Erin Braxton
I recently worked on a project that didn't go as planned. It happens sometimes. In this particular situation, I was working with someone with little to zero experience in business, who didn't know all of the work needed to build a site. By no means a bad person, just a bit misinformed and overwhelmed by the process. While the site did not go live and may never (which is a shame because it is a gorgeous site that I put a lot of love into), I had to remember that EVERY time things have not worked out in the past, they've grown not only me, but my business. When recounting the story of my frustrations to my father, he just said, "Well...there's a lesson in it somewhere."
Well...there's a lesson in it somewhere.
- My Dad, Lloyd Braxton
There were sooooo many lessons in that experience, but the main one in this particular instance, was that I have to do better at preparing people, who put trust in me, for what's to come. So I created a comprehensive, website checklist. I've been using it with new clients for the past year and it has really improved the way we work together. Not only does it help my clients understand what is needed and be more prepared for the process, but it helps me stay organized, as well.
My comprehensive website checklist is everything you'll need to get your site built and properly launched. Even if you already have a live site, you'll want to take a look at my list to see if you've missed anything.
Whether you hire a professional or decide to build your own site, this list will prepare you and keep you organized during the process.
Here's just some of the things you'll get on the list
In summary: I've learned a lot through good and bad experiences. But the main thing is, I've learned! It took me a bit longer than it should have to get this particular lesson, but now that I've got it, I'm sharing it with you. I hope it helps you as you build your own site.
