Since COVID, we now know the amazingness of home officing.  And like me, I know many have invested quite a bit of money outfitting their new home workspaces with everything needed to be highly productive, look amazing, and prepped for a nonstop day of Zoom calls.  However...

As someone who has been home officing since 2007, I would urge you to get out from time-to-time.  At least twice a week.  Find a cool spot, restaurant, coffee shop, co-working space...anything.  Just get out of your house.  Especially if you work for yourself.  It will up your mental game.

If you think you don't need to do this...I beg to differ.

If you think it won't help you be more productive and creative...try it and see.

If you think it won't improve your mood...you're just wrong.

Sometimes we don't know what's good for us until we've actually gotten the goods.   This is self care at the most basic level. If the chains of going into the office have been broken, why turnaround and chain yourself to a home office, kitchen table, spare bedroom or sofa?  Be out!  If nothing else, it will be that time you look forward to, even if it's just a couple of hours.
